Samara White LAc - Licensed Acupuncturist
Samara White is a Licensed Acupuncturist and certified Visionary Craniosacral Work® practitioner.
Samara is a licensed acupuncturist, herbalist, and craniosacral practitioner, and has been working as a clinician in integrative healthcare since 2005.
She recently relocated from Seattle, Washington, where she spent the last decade and ran her own acupuncture and craniosacral clinic. Originally from Southern California, Samara is happy to be back in California and is excited to be part of the OC Whole Family Wellness community.
Samara is passionate about supporting her patients through their journeys to feel their best. Samara practices a gentle style of acupuncture, and works with patients of all ages and stages of life. Her clinical areas of focus include women’s health and infant care, though she often treats the whole family and works with a wide variety of conditions. Because of the combination of acupuncture and craniosacral work that Samara practices, she often treats patients for issues such as headaches, neck pain, whiplash, and all sorts of issues related to the head and spine. She also utilizes acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine to work with issues related to digestion, allergies, menstrual complaints, fertility, pregnancy, postpartum issues, and physical and emotional pain of all sorts.
Samara is the author of the first acupuncture children’s book, Maya & Friends Visit the Acupuncturist. She enjoys explaining the concepts of East Asian Medicine in a way that children and adults alike can understand. Samara’s acupuncture and bodywork practice highlights her strong background in craniosacral therapy, which is a gentle yet powerful modality stemming from the manual therapy tradition of Osteopathy. This work can allow for unwinding of tension and old patterns in adult patients, who often find this work very relaxing and deeply transformative. It is also a gentle and effective modality for working with babies.
Some of the most common issues that Samara sees infants for are torticollis (head-turning preference) and nursing/latch difficulty. Samara is certified by the Milne Institute in Visionary Craniosacral Work. Samara is a Licensed California Acupuncturist and is also board-certified nationally in both acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine through the NCCAOM.
Samara holds a Master’s degree in Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine from the Seattle Institute of East Asian Medicine, where she received rigorous apprentice-style training from masters of diverse specialties.
